The Voice Recap: Did Jennifer Hudson Throw a Shoe?
Which potential winners made their mark on the judges with the fourth round of Blind Auditions?
The Voice continued with its usual Tuesday installment, and there was no shoe throwing on this installment, so it was not quite as exciting as the previous episode.
Still, Jennifer Hudson is an exciting addition to the coaching panel. Dare we say this is the best panel the show has ever had?
After all these years, there are four likable people sitting in those spinning chairs.
Let's break down the performances from the episode.
Anthony Alexander - “Redbone”
Know the feeling you get when someone opens their mouth to sing, and their voice is just mesmerizing? That's the exact feeling we got when Anthony put his spin on "Redbone." He has a lot of star quality and would probably be able to make the jump to a full-fledged artist without many changes.
He went with Team Adam in the end, and we can't help but think this was a good move.
Sophia Bollman - “Invincible”
Sophia went with a song that could show off her vocal prowess in a big way. She also had charm, sass and everything you would expect from a young artist. There were some worrying notes, but with some work, Sophia could be up there with some of the best.
She went with Team Miley, and that was a good move. We could imagine them doing a duet.
Karli Webster - “You’re So Vain”
You win some; you lose some. Karli's voice was not as well-versed as well as the others who made it through on the episode. There is some talent there, but will she be able to weather the storm and defy the odds?
She went with Team Miley.
Stephan Marcellus - “Take Me to Church”
Stephan had a unique voice, but the performance was not all that. It picked up considerably in the second half. But, were nerves to blame, or is there something else going on here?
Either way, Jennifer will find out since he's on her team now.
Emily Luther - “Summertime”
Emily was not a fan of how bad the record business was when she was part of it, so she's trying her hand at The Voice, and it seems like she's in the right place. Her talent will be nurtured by Adam.
Okay, that's a wrap, you guys!
What did you think of the performances?
The Voice continues Monday!
