See the First Photo of the Swedish Royal Family of 4! Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia Release Adorable New Shots

Double the royal cuteness!

The Swedish royal family released the first photos of Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and both of their children, Prince Gabriel and Prince Alexander, and they’re just as precious as you’d expect.

The pictures are the first to show Sweden’s youngest prince with his entire family, according to a palace spokeswoman. Both photos were taken last week at the East Gate of the Royal Palace by court photographer Erika Gerdemark.

Along with the photos, the royal couple showed their appreciation for their well-wishers around the world.

“A big and warm thanks for all the kind congratulations in connection with the birth of our son, Prince Gabriel,” they said in a statement. “We appreciate your kindness very much.”

In the other official snap, Gabriel, cradled in his mother’s arms, gazes up at her as his father looks on with a hand on his baby son’s back.

In the photo of the new family of four, Prince Alexander stares wide-eyed at the camera alongside his younger sibling while his parents wear big smiles.

Both parents took the photos as an opportunity to support Scandinavian fashion: Sofia, 32, wore a jacket from Veronica Virta, a small Swedish fashion house, and Carl Philip, 38, wore a suit by local designer Oscar Jacobson, a longtime go-to brand among Sweden’s royal men.

Prince Alexander is dressed in a sweater, shirt and trousers from the Swedish-based store Gant. Prince Gabriel’s clothes are by the Norwegian brand Lillelam, according to the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

Prince Gabriel is due to be christened at Drottningholm Palace Church on December 1, and “planning is in full swing,” according to a palace spokeswoman.
