Amal Clooney Goes for the Gold in Glittering Vintage Dress
If we’ve learned anything about Amal Clooney‘s style over the years, it’s that she never misses a chance to rock a killer vintage look, whether it’s a one-shoulder, ruffled minidress or a chic fur-topped baseball cap. And Thursday night was no exception, as the lawyer (and wife of George Clooney) attended an event co-hosted by one of her longtime favorite vintage haunts, London’s William Vintage, in a glittering gold mesh vintage Versace look.
In her flapper-esque shift dress in the brand’s signature fabric, Clooney was right on trend – after all, five original supermodels wore dresses in the material to pay homage to the late Gianni Versace in the brand’s most recent fashion show, which was designed by sister Donatella as a tribute to Gianni on the 20th anniversary of his death.
Last night’s party was also a tribute to the late designer, as partygoers celebrated the archive collection of more than 500 vintage Versace pieces that will be sold exclusively on Farfetch.com and in the William Vintage brick-and-morter store. Clooney posed for photos with host William Banks-Blaney and stars like Isla Fisher, Lisa Edelstein and Rachel Zoe, all similarly decked out in vintage Versace.

It’s been about four months since Clooney welcomed twins with her actor husband George and even with juggling motherhood and her high-profile career, Clooney hasn’t missed a fashion beat.
In September, Clooney turned heads in a lilac custom Versace gown with her hair curled up into a faux bob at the Venice Film Festival. The outing marked her and George’s first public event appearance since the birth of their twins.
Shortly after the showstopping festival appearance, she headed to an afterparty with George in a tiered, brightly-colored one-shoulder minidress and metallic pumps.
